Adding and editing slides

This article looks at the basics of adding and editing slides on your website.

  1. Log in to your WordPress site and from the dashboard select ‘Slides > Add New’

  2. Give your slide a short title and some content. See Optimising slide content for some tips on writing content for slides and Creating buttons to find out how to set up a call to action button on your slide.

  3. To set the image for your slider we use the ‘Featured Image’ functionality you may already be familiar with. If not, visit these articles to give you a better insight – Featured images and Adding featured images

  4. For best results with slider images, refer to this article for information on shooting and cropping images for your site.
