Adding users to your Nuttify powered WordPress website

It’s easy to add users to your Nuttify Powered WordPress website. there are a couple of ways that you can do this. The person you may be wanting to add may be already a member, or a customer of another website on the Nuttify network. In this case you can add them via the first method. Otherwise create a new account for them.

The person you want to add already has an account with nuttify.com

  1. Login to your site
  2. Go to Dashboard > Users > Add New
  3. Enter a username or email address in the “Add Existing User” section at the top of the page.
    (There is autocomplete on this field – so finding existing users should be a snap.)
  4. Give them a role – usually, “Subscriber, “Author”,  “Editor”, or “Administrator”
  5. Click the “Skip Confirmation Email” checkbox to “Add the user without sending them a confirmation email.”
    If we forget to do this the user is sent an email that may end up in their spam folder and they may not get their log in details.
  6. Click “Add existing User”

The person you want to add does not have an account with nuttify.com

  1. On the client’s site go to Dashboard > Users > Add New
  2. Create a username for them  in the “Add New User” section at the bottom of the page.
  3. Enter the client’s email address.
  4. Give them a role –  usually, “Subscriber, “Author”,  “Editor”, or “Administrator”
  5. Click the “Skip Confirmation Email” checkbox to “Add the user without sending them a confirmation email.”
    If we forget to do this the user is sent an email that may end up in their spam folder and they may not get their log in details.
  6. Click “Add New User”

After the creation of the user account lets set a password and send an email

  1. Go to  Dashboard > Users and find the new user
  2. Click on their name to edit them
  3. Scroll down the profile page and add things like their full name and make up a password for them. Enter this into the password fields twice – and note it down somewhere – because you are going to need to email them their details.
  4. Click “Update” button at the bottom of the screen to apply your changes
  5. Send the user an email stating that their user account has been created. Don’t forget to tell them their username and password
